How often should gutters be cleaned?
Twice a year suits most Brisbane homes: before the wet season (October or November) and after the autumn leaf fall (May or June). With trees hanging over the roof, you may need it every three months.
What happens if I don't clean my gutters?
Blocked gutters overflow. That can rot the fascia, damage foundations, make walls damp and wash away garden beds, and the wet timber can attract termites.
Do you clean downpipes as well?
Yes. We flush every downpipe with water to make sure it's flowing freely, and if we hit a stubborn blockage we have the tools to clear it.
Can you install gutter guards?
Cleaning is what we do, but we can recommend good gutter guard installers. Even with guards, fine debris still builds up, so the gutters need a clean now and then.
What if you find damage while cleaning?
We photograph and note anything we find, such as loose brackets, rust, cracks or sagging sections. It all goes in your report so you can arrange repairs.
Is gutter cleaning dangerous?
It can be if you're not trained for it. Our team is trained to work at heights and uses proper safety equipment and procedures to prevent falls.
